AW18 PIONEER

The brief was to create an addition to Lowe Alpine’s Teton range. Retaining the visual vernacular of heritage packs, the challenge was to introduce a pack compatible with digital devices in a contemporary bucket loading format. The pack should appeal to young professionals. The design process for this pack started by reviewing old work books helpfully digitised by a previous senior designer. A relatively straightforward design process that finished ahead of schedule. The ambition was to create a laptop sleeve seamlessly incorporated into the back panel, to allow easy access on the move. The challenge here was not so much in creating a prototype, but in devising a design consistent with the limitations of the manufacturer.
